Calico Crossroads
There are two new thaumatropes coming on April 1st, Apples and Finnegan. In case you don't know what a thaumatrope is, it's a toy that was popular in Victorian times. A disk or card with a picture on each side is attached to two pieces of string. When the strings are twirled quickly between the fingers the two pictures appear to combine into a single image.

I've decided to change the format of my blog somewhat. Instead of adding narrative, I will include facts with each design where possible, such as fabric, threads used, and stitch count. I'm hoping that this will allow me to blog about even more new designs, since adding narrative was proving to be somewhat time-consuming.
