Inspired by Jane Austen's novels, Tokens of Visiting with the Jane Austen Girls are little 'morning call' cards that would be left by visitors in the front hall.
If you thought those calling cards were darling, you'll love this even more! The Sampler Girl is selling Pattern and Pieceworke exclusive kits on her web site. Each kit includes a Jane Austen inspired design taken from one of her existing charts, along with a piece of complementary Moda fabric. What you do with the kit is up to you! The kits are called Real Comfort, Fanny Price, To the Sea and In Bath.
Also new is Mary Davies 1769, an antique sampler with a Welsh style alphabet and motifs.

With My Needle
On the inside of A Fair Maiden's Etui are a pinkeep, thread rings and two silk pockets. The finished size of the etui is almost 4 1/2" tall.
Not much is known about the reproduction sampler ES's Floral Sampler, ca. 1840, except for the initials ES and that it was most likely stitched in the mid-19th century.
